Menomonee Falls, Wis. — Wacker Corp. last month announced it is renamed Wacker Neuson Corp., effective immediately. The name change was entered in the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions on April 9. Wacker Neuson Corp., Menomonee Falls, Wis., is an affiliate company of Wacker Construction Equipment, AG, Munich, Germany. This move aligns with plans to change the name and legal form of the parent company in June 2008, when it will become Wacker Neuson SE.

“Under our new name of Wacker Neuson Corp., we will continue to support our customers' processes with top-quality products and service they experienced under Wacker Corporation,” said Christopher Barnard, president and CEO of Wacker Neuson Corp., based in Menomonee Falls, Wis.

The merger of two profitable, quality leaders in 2007 further strengthens Wacker Neuson Corp.'s position as a reliable partner for high-quality construction equipment. Alongside tried-and-tested products in the light equipment segment, the company's portfolio also includes compact equipment such as track excavators, compact wheel loaders and dumpers.

“We are well aware that, alongside product innovations, trust, stability and consistency are vital to good customer relations,” said Barnard, who explained that the company has provided the sales and service organizations within Wacker Neuson with intensive training in its high-quality compact equipment. According to Barnard, customers can rest assured that they will continue to receive the best possible advice and support from their Wacker Neuson contacts in the future as they were accustomed to under Wacker Corp.

Completed in 2007, the merger between the parent company Wacker Construction Equipment AG and Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG has created a major global manufacturer of light and compact equipment. With more than 30 affiliates and more than 180 sales and service stations across the globe, the new company offers a broad product portfolio. All products manufactured by the new organization will be branded Wacker Neuson. The exceptions to this in Europe are Kramer all-wheel-steer loaders and the Weidemann brand, which will be retained and further developed for the agricultural industry.

By further expanding its product and service offering, and driving regional growth, Wacker Neuson intends to exceed the billion-euro revenue mark during the course of 2008. It is aiming for sustained, long-term sales and earnings growth. The group changed its name and legal form to Wacker Neuson SE at its annual general meeting on June 3.
