Roadrunner Industrial Works, owned by Merrill Robinson, opened a Volvo CE Rents Center franchise in Peralta, N.M., last November, and celebrated its grand opening Saturday, March 20 at its newly remodeled facility.

Roadrunner Rental hosted construction, commercial, residential and industrial contractors and homeowners in Valencia and Bernalillo counties. Events included a mantanza (pig cooked in the ground), equipment demonstrations and a backhoe rodeo. Door prizes were also given.

Sales and engineering representatives from equipment manufacturers were in attendance to demonstrate the equipment and answer questions. The equipment was made available for testing by customers. They also offered special equipment rental financing incentives to their customers during their visit to the new Volvo Rents center.

An article last week in the Dallas Business Journal reported that Volvo Rents is targeting the Dallas-Fort Worth area for a franchise expansion. Specific store numbers and the number of employees to be hired have not been established, Volvo Rents told RER.

Volvo Rents’ intent is to have proper coverage in Dallas and Fort Worth. The company is actively pursuing franchise candidates.
