Millville, N.J. — The employees of Trico Lift, a full-service aerial rental and sales company based in Millville, N.J., worked safely through 2007 without a lost-time accident or recordable incident. Trico, with nearly 100 employees, has one of the largest privately owned fleets in North America.

“In an industry where safety is one of the utmost importance, we're very proud to have achieved this significant achievement of one whole year without a recordable incident or one that required more than basic first-aid treatment,” said president and CEO Ken Pustizzi. “This means that the Trico Lift team has persisted for a considerable period of time to think safety first.”

The company has branches in Beltsville, Md.; Gainesville, Va.; Marcus Hook, Pa.; Cincinnati, Ohio; and South Plainfield, N.J. It has more than 3,000 machines including boomlifts, forklifts, scissorlifts, air compressors, industrial pickup trucks and light towers. Trico Lift has a diverse customer base throughout the eastern Untied States.

Pustizzi attributed the safety milestone to the company's risk identification efforts and comprehensive Safety Training and Accident Prevention program, which includes regular training sessions and employee meetings.

Steve Phillips, Trico Lift safety director, said accident prevention measure “to review near misses and incidents, examine root causes and implement necessary controls to prevent future occurrences are also Trico's best defense. Our key objective is to maintain a zero injury or damage work environment.

Trico Lift and Trico Equipment are No. 44 on the RER 100.
