Fort Mill, S.C. — Sunbelt Rentals celebrated the grand opening of its newest full-service rental branch in Champaign, Ill., May 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The celebration featured the JCB GT “World's Fastest Backhoe,” a specialized “racing” backhoe fitted with a Chevrolet V8 engine, capable of track speeds up to 100 mph. Additionally, Sunbelt provided complimentary lunch, door prizes and giveaways, and vendors JCB, Genie, Miller Electric, Norton Pro-Cut, Vermeer, Wacker and JLG hosted interactive equipment displays.

The new west-side Champaign facility rents commercial, industrial and residential customers a broad mix of equipment and smaller tools.

Fort Mill, S.C.-based Sunbelt Rentals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ashtead Group plc, is No. 4 on the RER 100.
