John Deere's Machine Information Center (MIC) on-board data logger provides excavator owners with extensive data and helps fleet managers improve productivity, increase profit and minimize operating costs. It is available on John Deere excavators from the 80C to the 800C.

The MIC system is comprised of an on-board data logger, which is standard on every machine, a cable and software kit to allow the machine owner to access the logged data via a palm pilot, and a MIC Dataviewer for your PC to summarize and manage the data. The cable and software kit can be purchased from any John Deere construction dealer.

The on-board data logger captures and stores up to 10,000 hours of performance data and a lifetime of utilization data. User-friendly software quickly translates the data into charts, graphs and reports. It also can store alarms and faults, engine speeds, hydraulic and coolant temperatures, pump pressures, hours of operation, and breakdowns of swing/travel/front operation times.

“The MIC System captures data every second and keeps a running log of machine utilization, operating temperatures and pressures, as well as any alarms and faults,” says Amy Asselin, customer support marketing for John Deere MIC. “Every customer can access and utilize the data with a palm pilot and special PC software, which is cost effective.”

Verified by Amy Asselin, customer support marketing for John Deere MIC.
