The Dimas DM 225 handheld drill motor is a lightweight, heavy-duty handheld core drill that is intended for use on concrete and masonry applications. Designed for working in tight areas, the DM 225 has a high power-to-weight ratio and contains advanced electronics for maximum power, flexibility and reliability. Users can select from speeds of 580/1,400/2,900 rpm for optimal cutting and the unit weighs approximately 12 pounds.

The DM 225 features electronic overload protection in multiple stages. Dimas' Elgard electronic slip clutch is included, which causes the drill motor to pulsate when the machine is overloaded — before the mechanical slip clutch begins to slip. When the load is reduced the machine then returns to normal rpm level and drilling can continue.

“The drill is easy to service because of its separate access panels for inspection and for the replacement of carbon brushes, the design of the gearbox and electronic card connection,” says Brian O'Donnell, director of marketing for Dimas.
